Chris and Tammey Bohle - Owners

Chris and Tammey became a part of the equestrian world in 2014 when their daughter, Elizabeth, started taking lessons. After quickly realizing this was not a fad she would outgrow, Chris and Tammey dove headfirst into everything horse related! After moving to the Clayton area, Tammey began volunteering as Office Manager at another facility. She also enrolled in the University of South Carolina, Aiken under their Equestrian Online Courses. With this knowledge, Tammey hopes to help Swift Creek Riding Academy become the best riding facility in the Raleigh-Durham area! Now, with Chris joining the team full-time, they run Swift Creek Riding Academy as a family. Chris heads the farm maintenance and oversees employees and Tammey runs the behind the scenes business and takes on event organizing.

Kristen Colfer - Barn Manager

With over 20 years experience as a Barn Manager and Instructor, we are proud to have Kristen be a part of the Swift Creek Family. Not only does she cover the day-to-day management of the Boarder barn, but she is our head coach of the Johnston County Special Olympics team.

Jessie Lassiter - Assistant Barn Manager

Ms. Jessie joined the SCRA team in 2021 and fell right into the family. Jessie grew up in the Hunter world but found herself later on taking on the Western world. She specializes in desensitizing horses and natural horsemanship. In her spare time Ms. Jessie volunteers her time as a coach for the Johnston County Special Olympics Team.
